Abba,
When I wake up to you,
Fresh morning dew
Still wet on the ground and the sound of your voice
Dancing in my ear,
I hear you whisper
“I give new strength day to day.”
Payer of debts, forgiver of sins
Wonderful councillor
Redeemer and friend
One who is just, the one who creates
Who is man that you, God, should say-
These are mine. My image. My beloved creation.
And yet you do.
And you choose
every tribe and each nation and
I am loved by one who can stop up the sea
What else can I do but fall to my knees
And worship the one holding all
eternity.
